Treehoppers are insects that basically hop and live on trees. Most of the 2,500 species have a sharp exoskeleton. One of the most famous Treehoppers is the Umbonia species.
Females will guard their eggs and nymphs.
Many species are farmed by Ants, the nymphs produce honeydew and the ants protect them and their mother.
The mother will oftain leave protected nymphs.
