Pachnoda

Pachnoda marginata

Order
Family
Subfamily
Usually Cetoniidae

The genus Pachnoda consists of 108 species of beetles. Species belonging to this genus are found all over Africa, parts of Southern Europe, and the Arabic Penninsula. Most of them feed on flowers and flowers and shrubs. Because of conditions where many species live, these species may undergo diapausis. This diapausis involves keeping prepupas in cocoons for about 4-6 months in very dry substarte, after that, it is required to sprinkle the substarte with water gently, which could change prepupas into pupa and will then change into an adult beetle. This whole cycle can take 4-6 months, depending on the size.
