Euchirus longimanus is a scarab native to Indonesia.

Appearance[]

This species can grow up to 65 mm and is an orange color. They have obviously very large "antlers" used by the males for battle, the large mandibles sub-divide into smaller thorns and have a coiled appearance forming a heart-like shape females do not have them. Their shell is very strong in appearance. The adults have their hindlegs adorned with hard and pointed thorns and have double-pronged sickle-end claws that allow them to cling onto wooden barks of trees and feed off the internal sap present within the tree. They have small antennae composed of 2-3 segments only. The lengthier the antlers of the males, the more appealed the female will be.

Habitat[]

. They tend to inhabit lush jungles especially pine and oak forest with a fresh availability of trees in the atmosphere therefore they will be able to feed off the sap in the trees of the sorrounding atmosphere while providing an aid to their reproduction promoting new generations.
