The eastern Hercules beetle(dynasties tityus)is a large type of beetle native to the US.In fact, they’re the second largest beetle in the United States only behind the western Hercules beetle. To be specific, they grow from 1.5 to 3 inches although males are usually longer than the females because of the 2 horns that the males have.In appearance, the eastern Hercules beetle has a dullish yellow color with a black head and upper horn which are used to fight other males for mating rights with females. They also have black spots on their elytra(and yes they can fly).I’m not SUPER sure but I believe that they have a lifespan of a total of 3 years (1-2 years as grubs,2 weeks-3 months as pupa,3 months-1 year as adult)
